Casl's Identity
What is CASL?

CASL is an outgrowth of the work of the California Association of Directors of Activities (CADA) and their commitment to training and providing opportunities for students to be effective leaders. The two organizations work side by side, through the schools in California, in this developmental process. Membership of CADA includes membership in CASL. To become a member of these partnered organizations, helping advisors and students continue to be more effective in our schools and communities, contact the activities director, ASB or Student Council Advisor at your school. Specific information on membership is available on the CADA pages or through CADA Central at 1-888-USE-CADA.

CASL's Mission
What does CASL do?

The purpose of the California Association of Student Leaders is to provide an avenue for student expression through a statewide communication network. CASL provides assistance in developing leaders with integrity and ethical decision making skills, so that they may be active participants at the local, state, and national levels.
This is achieved by:

  • Offering resources that refine leadership abilities
  • Acting as a liaison between students and organizations nationwide
  • Promoting student participation in school and community activities
  • Providing a forum for student expression
  • Providing many opportunities for students to practice their leadership skills

CASL's Philosophy
CADA/CASL Human Rights Policy

The California Association of Directors of Activities and the California Association of Student Leaders endorse a policy of complete non-discrimination honoring and respecting all human differences and encourage our members and their respective schools and businesses to display a genuine tolerance of others.
