National Association of Student Councils Annual Conference
What is NASC?

The 40th Annual National Association of Student Council Convention was held, June 21 –29 2004 at Silverado High School in Las Vegas. This event brought together over 1800 students from around the world to gain new perspectives and insights on student leadership issues.
The interaction of top student leaders from around the country made an extraordinary conference opportunity! Forty students from around the State will represented California.
The State delegation traveled together for four days in the San Diego area prior to the conference, building a team and family spirit and becoming a cohesive group prior to experiencing this national convention.

experiences with NASC

“I went to NASC in 2001 and 2002. Right now I'm writing to you from my dorm in Tucson, Arizona. I go to the University of Arizona, am majoring in Biology, minoring in Math and Spanish, and I was selected as an Arizona Blue Chip. Arizona Blue Chip is the only college leadership group of its kind. . . . I just wanted to let you know that I applied to this program because of going to NASC. NASC was such a great experience and I wish that I could still go every single year now. You have no idea how hard it was for me to realize this past summer that there were other people at NASC, while I was not there. Arizona Blue Chip is amazing so far, you join for your freshman year during orientation and you stay in it all throughout college . . .”
